“With hurricane season a month away, a Senate panel says the U.S. “was, and is, ill-prepared to respond to a catastrophic event of the magnitude of Hurricane Katrina.” Its investigation adds that FEMA — the agency in charge of responding to disasters — should be abolished, and a new agency created, to avoid another failure. Meanwhile, President Bush makes his 11th trip to the Gulf Coast and promises to make the next hurricane response “as effective as possible.” Will we be ready?”
The Atlantic hurricane season begins June 1, and a natural disaster may be waiting in the wings. A leading forecaster from Colorado State University predicts the season will be less intense than last year, but says there’s an 81 percent chance a major hurricane could hit along the U.S. coast. How concerned are you?
It was a pretty SUCKY day. A lot of people just agitated me. I couldn’t really handle it well. So..I came home and took a nap. Thank God. So i’m hungry! Anyway, we had an assembly today! And….it made me SO mad b/c they cut the film off! I WANTED TO IMAGINE! lols.
