Life ain’t always beautiful, but its a beautiful ride.

I live in a really small town. Like it says in the Smalltown USA song, “A lot of people called it prison when I was growing up. But these are my roots and this is where I’m from.” I love it here. There’s not much to do, so the majority of the teenagers find trouble and everybody knows your business, but when its all said and done…I love this place. This is my home. Last night, I went to the bar with Randal for the first time. 🙂 We went to the Watermark and drank a little bit. I was sitting outside with Brad and Lance listening to the music and just enjoying the night air. Only one country song played the entire night, but whenever it played, Brad and I sang at the top of our lungs 🙂 And I looked around and thought, “This is my home.”

You should’ve seen it in color.

“This one is my favorite one
This is me and grandma in the summer sun
All dressed up the day we said our vows
You can’t tell it here but it was hot that June
That rose was red and her eyes were blue
And just look at that smile I was so proud

That’s the story of my life
Right there in black and white

And if it looks like we were scared to death
Like a couple of kids just trying to save each other
You should have seen it in color

A picture’s worth a thousand words
But you can’t see what those shades of gray keep covered
You should have seen it in color”
